I have the Aluratek ereader, and I love it! You can also get some books from some library websites, my local library has ebooks, too.

You can get free and bargain books from the Sony Reader bookstore online. I know because I have one and I’ve downloaded several good books for free. You can also download a ton of classics from google for free. However, if you are expecting to download new releases or currently top sellers for free, you can forget that, because it probably won’t happen. But it is cheaper to download them then to buy the hardback or soft cover versions when they are just released. And you don’t have to pass them on or worry about storage space.
