It depends on the file name.

Plain ASCII text files have the extension .txt
Microsoft Word files have the extension .doc
Adobe acrobat files have the extension .pdf
Gemstar eBook files have the extension .prc
Palm files have the extension .pdb or .prc
Hiebook files have the extension .kml
Html files have the extension .html or .htm
Adobe eBook files have the extension .pdf
MobiPocket files have the extension .prc

If you bought a Nook, you can ask for help at a Barnes and Noble Store. If you bought your Kindle from a store, the clerk may be able to help you. They also have a help number.

I need to find a few books that I can download from e books to help me write my research paper. My paper is about how Helen Keller changed the public perception of the disabled. I need books that mention this topic. I don’t want stories; I want biographies and autobiographies about what she did that helped change the perception of the disabled. Thank you in advance!!!

She herself was a writer and political activist… few better ways to blow the lid off people’s perception of a deaf & blind woman than to write a book about your views on socialism…

How can I purchase books for my Kindle using another Amazon account?

Well I have an Amazon account but the debit card I’m using has no cash in it.
Somebody has said they will buy me some books using their account but I’m not sure how to get the books delivered to my Kindle.
I know with other things you can ‘gift’ the product, but I’m not sure if it’s the same for e-books.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

They can buy you gift vouchers which you can then use to pay for e-books There are many good free books as well if you look around.

I loved the hunger games series. I thought the twilight series was okay. I liked That was then, this is now by s.e Hinton, but hated all her other books. I like goosebumps and all of Sarah dessen’s books. I kind of liked Harry potter books, but not that much. I’d prefer no series also. I like all sorts of books, so feel free to suggest any. I am mature, so I can handle any book. Thanks !

I took a couple classes online, through AIU (and I would not suggest it) and now I have several marketing books that are in good condition. I have bought off e-bay, but never sold. Is there an easier way to sell books online? If not, could someone please explain how e-bay works(selling) I really appreciate it. I know I could probably figure it out, but I don’t have the patience.

I would try half.com (free to list) and amazon.com (free to list). They are a lot more user friendly. I would also try craigslist.com, or thefacebook.com which are popular sites for students to search for books!

I have a large collection of books and magazines that was bought over many years, and I would like to share this information by converting it to e-books and selling it online. Some date back to the 1960’s.
I know there is legal implications, so I would like to do it the right way.

unless your willing to contact the owners of the copy write in each and every case(and most wont let you anyway) its illegal.
you must obtain written permission and cut them in on the action.

or just sell on the sly….
but i wouldn’t think there would be a paid market.
people already upload most things for free, as a service to the community on torrent sites.
pirate bay, isohunt, torrent reactor……….

buy the way, what sort of stuff do you have?

When I turn on the computer and sit in front hours pass by, once time is wasted later I regret that I wanted to do other things that I actually like more to do e.g read my favorite books on Engineering. I am having trouble with motivation. What should I do to get motivated? I don’t know why this is happening with me.

We are what we eat and drink. If we consume always pure and good quality food items and drinks, it will help to generate good thoughts, ideas and feelings. Our intake of solid or liquid should be healthy, nourishing and delicious.

On the contrary, if we take impure, unhealthy, bad or poor quality food along with bad drinks, besides weed habits, it may destabilize our mind. Moreover we are easily susceptible to negative influences than positive influences. So we should never have friends who are capable of spoiling our mood. Then our mind remains unsettled. Afterwards, it is difficult to bring back the mind in proper shape. It takes long time. Impure mind will only generate bad, poor, weak or evil thoughts, ideas or feelings.

I have been suffering from Bacterial Vaginosis for over a year. I have scoured the internet searching for a solution to my problem. My GYNO was no help when she told me that it was stress related. How can someone not be stressed out when they have discharge and smell like nasty fish. Anyway, I have tried everything from Acidiphilous pills, to douching with hydrogen peroxide, to using unscented Dove soap. Nothing worked at all. I ran across reviews on Amazon for Fem-dophilus. These women were raving about this product. It’s a pill forumulated with only the good bacteria for vaginal health. I have been taking them vaginally, and they are great. The bottle says approved by the FDA to take orally, but it wasn’t working as well when I was only taking them orally.
