My Dad can only read Large Print books due to gradually losing his sight. I want to get him an e-book reader - but what ones allow you to increase the size of the text by several points, (and of the ones that do : what is simplest to use and takes the most formats ? )
I’ll say the Amazon Kindle, it will be a great gift for your father. It allows you to change fonts and has magnifier if you want the text even larger. There is also a text-to-speech function, so we can just listen to the book without using our eyes.

Finally, Amazon has just put a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it is now selling $100 cheaper than the price I got my Kindle, and it adds in international wireless access and native PDF support… So take the chance if you want it.
