Same ebooks… just cheaper!

or both?

Both.

I fought getting an e-reader. I’ve been a book lover for years. Spent a lot of Saturdays as a kid in the library. Love the feel, smell, etc. My house would go up in 2 minutes in a fire with all the paper (books) in it.

However, I did get a Nook. I got a cover for it that opens like a book so it feels somewhat the same with the exception that it only reads on the right side. Got it for several reasons. I take a bus to work. Some books are too heavy to carry all the time. Sometimes I wasn’t in the mood for what I had with me. With the Nook - there are several on it and I can choose a different one. And I’m not storing all the paper any more.

I still buy books. Ones that aren’t available as e-books. I like older ones in whatever interest I have at the moment - that will never be e-books. I find them on Amazon usually as they are not in bookstores either. I don’t have a title in mind - just do a search on Amazon with key words and wonderful books (usually used) show up. May have been published years ago. Bookstores only carry the popular mainstream stuff.

I’m not one to go for the latest thing in technology. But I do think the e-readers are here to stay.

Actual books… There’s just something completely different in the experience of turning an actual page, not swiping your finger on a tablet, or whatever. Same difference with reading the newspaper and going on a website. I like the real experience. The trend never caught on with me.

Actual books. I refuse to buy an electronic reader. I love going out and buying brand new books. I love being able to touch crisp pages and I love the smell of books that haven’t been corrupted. I’ve always wanted to have my own little library with bookshelves full of books. Can’t have any of that with an electronic reader.

ACTUAL BOOKS!!! the only good thing about e-books is the fact that they become available to more people, but when i really like a book, i got to have it.

Actual books. Yeh, I’ve got a netbook I could download a whole shipload of e-books, but I’m one of those old geezers who just prefers a real book. My wife, otoh, has a kindle and loves it.

    Either one I LOVE!

E-books I can access with the press of a button, which can include thousands of things. Perfect! Convenient, plus Nooks & Kindles have extra games, apps, & wordplay things that exercise your mind. Anyone who can afford one usually has one. They’re the new book, I guess, haha. Some say that if you damage your reader, all books are lost. That’s not true. Simply retrieve them on your computer!

Actual books are great as well. Personally, I love building up my personal library. Visitors come into my home and look at my bookcases in awe. And all of them are in great condition! I guess the bad part of it is that when they are damaged, it’s hard to repair. Even if you do you can’t really read it the same. Sometimes you never get them back. While carrying around an E-Reader is great, Books are awesome as well.

To answer your question fully, I read both. Whether in libraries or at home, they both are absolutely wonderful :D

Actual books. I don’t have an e-reader. I kind of like holding a book and seeing a bookself full of books. Plus, I lose things a lot and it’s a lot cheeper to replace a book than an e-reader.

I hate e books it as if we arent already lazy to do other things and now in stead of picking up a book and turning a page in the process is now EASIER to slide with your fingers. In 20 year trust you me well be living like the humans of Wall-E

Actual books. I see no point in buying an e-book reader and reading a full book on PC/laptop is way to tiresome.
