or both?
Both.
I fought getting an e-reader. I’ve been a book lover for years. Spent a lot of Saturdays as a kid in the library. Love the feel, smell, etc. My house would go up in 2 minutes in a fire with all the paper (books) in it.
However, I did get a Nook. I got a cover for it that opens like a book so it feels somewhat the same with the exception that it only reads on the right side. Got it for several reasons. I take a bus to work. Some books are too heavy to carry all the time. Sometimes I wasn’t in the mood for what I had with me. With the Nook - there are several on it and I can choose a different one. And I’m not storing all the paper any more.
I still buy books. Ones that aren’t available as e-books. I like older ones in whatever interest I have at the moment - that will never be e-books. I find them on Amazon usually as they are not in bookstores either. I don’t have a title in mind - just do a search on Amazon with key words and wonderful books (usually used) show up. May have been published years ago. Bookstores only carry the popular mainstream stuff.
I’m not one to go for the latest thing in technology. But I do think the e-readers are here to stay.
