Im looking for some reading material on line. Has to be free because im on a budget. Also what do you recommend? Any good books out there that you’ve read lately?
I recommend Little Brother. It is a free legal download because the author has agreed to give it away.
Cheap eBook Store ?
Does anyone know where I can download the entire Twilight audio book as one for free? So I can put it onto my ipod? I found it on LimeWire, except it comes in A LOT of different parts and don’t really want to download sooo many parts that are only 15 minutes long. Please help, thanks!

It is possible to read PDF’s on a handheld device.
HOWEVER..
Some of us have an extremely hard time doing so and anyway, it is an awkward, slow experience. The systems I’ve looked at require software (running on a PC) to convert the PDF into something more "palatable" for the handheld device.
Usually this cuts out anyone who isn’t using windows (linux/dragonflybsd/freebsd/etc.. users are stuck here)
The other tools I’ve looked at require a card to be present on the handheld device, they’ll read the PDF "on the fly" but they tend to slow things down and in some cases lock up the device for lack of main memory. (remember, you can’t have a "swap file" on a palm pilot!)
Best advice I can give you from my frustrated experiences is to convert the ebook into something else (for example, palmdoc)
PDF’s are really intended for larger screen devices and look really horrible when re-flowed. I’ve pretty much quit bothering.
I want to purchase these books, but I don’t have a credit card and many of the websites ask for payment with one not a debit card, which is all that I have. Any help?
you can try http://www.scribd.com/ but i’m not sure if they sell them. But for your other problem, I would go to CVS or some place like that and buy a pre-paid credit card (amex, visa, mastercard all have them)
Hey, so I read really slow, and I know that reading text on a computer is slower than reading text on paper. But how about on ebook readers? I have a lot of reading to do over the summer, and I was wondering if reading books on my ebook reader would be slower than reading paper books?
Thanks!
Do your ebook reader use e-ink? If so, I think it will not differ much compared to reading on paper. I owned the Kindle 2, which uses the e-ink technology. I like it very much as it is really like reading books, and some time I feel that reading on my Kindle is even faster than reading on books. You can read this from an actual owner too, it tells the feeling on reading books:

BTW, I’m a student too so I need to do lots of reading. I’ve found some way to improve my reading speed. I’ve mentioned that in another answer previously, just see if it helps:

If I want to publish my stories as e-books, what’s a good site that charges a reasonable fee?
there are lots of epublisher that will publish your stories and pay you. Don’t pay someone for this honor.
try Whiskey Creek Press; http://www.whiskeycreekpress.com/
Wolfmont Publishing http://www.wolfmont.com/
http://twilighttimesbooks.com/subs.html (Twilight Times)
or go to Preditors and Editors (http://www.anotherealm.com/prededitors/pubagent.htm) for a list
I mean, theorectically could I charge 0.99 for an e-book called "How to attract women" and fill the e-book with 12 pages of meaningless advice? It’s still a book? I haven’t made any unsubstanciated claims have I?
As long as I provide a disclaimer that the advice in the book purely opinion, can I do this?
Technically, yes.
But remember, sellers no longer have the ability to leave negative feedback for buyers. A few disgruntled buyers can trash your feedback, and there’s not much you can do about it.
Also - ebay requires that you accept paypal. And paypal does NOT protect a seller if the item is not physically mailed. All a buyer has to do is file a dispute with paypal, and if you can show proof of mailing and delivery, you lose, and they buyer gets a refund.
Here are the rules set down by ebay:
"We consider digital items to be information or content that people download from a website or receive by email. This includes things like PDF files, electronic books (eBooks), recipes, or information like "Word of the Day."
You can advertise digital items on eBay as long as you follow all of these guidelines:
* You can use only the Classified Ad format.
* You can only list your item in the Everything Else > Information Products category.
* You have to confirm your identity through the PayPal Verified process.
* You need to state in your listing that you’re the legal owner of the information (sometimes called intellectual property) or that you’ve been authorized to sell it.
* Digital items can’t have any sexually-oriented adult (pornographic) content.
* If you sell software, make sure it doesn’t damage anyone’s computer, doesn’t violate the user’s privacy (so no spyware or cookies), and can’t be used for malicious purposes like sending spam emails or spreading a computer virus. For more details, see our guidelines on HTML and JavaScript.
